This really attractive character Cottage was built in the traditional manner with thick walls and buttresses that have helped so much to retain its structural strength, it has already seen the start of a careful restoration project to preserve the complete character of this charming little gem. The roof has been thoroughly overhauled and is well protected against the weather although birds keep lifting the cement tiles to remove the bugs and they do not relay the tiles!
This Cottage offers a very sturdy home that is quite surprisingly spacious. Having the space, land and tranquillity, it may even prove a suitable option for a Yoga Retreat or the like subject to obtaining the appropriate licences.
The accommodation briefly comprises Living Room with original Fireplace, Three further Rooms, Bathroom – renovation started (walls and ceiling sound), Kitchen/Diner – renovation started (walls and ceiling sound) old floor tiling, traditional reed ceilings in good order, old stone feed boxes which are built-in in the living room could be turned into feature fixed seating and there are all sorts of wonderful recesses and alcoves both inside and outside the property.
Outside the Cottage is a small building that has access to the cisterna and other equipment. There is a large stone built structure that originally was a ‘Smokery’ and further away on the property is a large brick building that was formerly for housing pigs. The property can be approached via two separate gated entrances that leads directly to the Cottage.
The land is rolling countryside with Holm Oak, Olive and Pine trees offering shade, there is a Lake and wonderful views across the countryside. To the front of the cottage is a selection of wonderfully large cacti and the land in earlier years has been terraced for easy cultivation.
