Here we have a lovely old house to recover having excellent access immediately off a tarmac road that has recently been partly resurfaced. A very unusual feature of this property is the extent of almost level land that would be ideal to post and rail in order to create paddocks for horses. Probably just over half of the land is level with an attractive band of trees separating the level land from part of the hill above that also forms part of this property’s land. We understand that within that lovely dense band of trees there is a small stream that feeds and keeps these trees green all year around even during the hot Summers. This stand of trees should supply the house with timber for a log burning stove. The property is blessed with plenty of water and includes a Well that we are informed has always remained with a plentiful water supply. Additionally, there is electricity to the existing house, but it may be an opportunity to install full solar panels with inverters and batteries to then be entirely ‘Off Grid’. The Ruin itself is currently 136m² and with a Project Approval for a normal residence it could be extended up to a covered area of 300m². There is also the possibility depending on the project required, of increasing the construction area up to 500m² for a Farming Establishment or even up to 2000m² if being used for Rural Tourism. The Ruin has outstanding views of the surrounding mountains and countryside, beautifully peaceful yet only a 5 minute drive to the centre of the thriving village of Sao Marcos da Serra and just 6 minutes to the main IC1 road.
